Witches Weekly: Seasons

What do you like most about the summer season?
Honestly, I don't much like summer at all. (I think I've mentioned that several times lately...) If I had to pick something though, I would have to say the flowers. I love how everything is green and lush, and the scents of the flowers. It makes me smile. We have had a cool, wet summer this year, so the flowers are just lovely.

The other thing I like about summer is that autumn is just around the corner. Autumn is my favourite season.

How does weather affect your spirituality? Are you more active in the summer with pagan activities or less? Do you meditate outside or inside depending on weather?
Weather affects everything, not just my spirituality. I find that I am much more slothful during the summer, even if I am inside with air conditioning. I don't have any real ambition to so anything when it is hot.

What's your favorite summer ritual? (Lughnasadh, Midsummer, whatever you celebrate)
My favourite summer ritual is Mabon, because it marks the end of summer and the beginning of autumn.

"Autumn is my favourite season."

Me too. (Duh!) And you could technically say that Autumn is about six hours down the 401, if it makes you feel better during the wretched smog- and hunidity-swamped summer in Toronto.

And it's not a bank holiday cross-Canada; due to Quebec's insistence that St John's Day is a "fete nationale" holiday sacred to the Quebec population, we all have to work today in this province. Argh.
